An iPhone "text bug" or "text bomb" has been discovered by a software developer Abraham Masri, a software developer in the US. By sending a message containing a link which pointed to Masri's code on GitHub the bug could be activated, even if the recipient didn't click the link itself. Apple has not yet commented on the bug. Masri has since unpublished the code which has been called ChaiOs! The code has also been removed from GitHub. Masri wrote "I'm not going to re-upload it. I made my point. Apple needs to take such bugs more seriously.,"

Apple has confirmed the suspicions of many iPhone users and now reveals that it deliberately slows down some models of the iPhone as they age. It has been long suspected that Apple slows down older iPhone's which in turn may encourage people to upgrade. Apple have now said that it does slow down some models as they age, but only because iPhone's battery performance diminishes over time. This practice is said to prolong the life of an iPhone.
