An iPhone “text bug” or “text bomb” has been discovered by a software developer Abraham Masri, a software developer in the US.
By sending a message containing a link which pointed to Masri’s code on GitHub the bug could be activated, even if the recipient didn’t click the link itself.
Apple has not yet commented on the bug.
Masri has since unpublished the code which has been called ChaiOs! The code has also been removed from GitHub.
Masri wrote “I’m not going to re-upload it. I made my point. Apple needs to take such bugs more seriously.,”
